BAME FEMALE ROLE MODELS (volunteers)
BTEG is seeking to recruit 30 successful females of black, Asian and minority ethnic origin from the private, public and voluntary sector. Your role will be to speak and listen to young BAME females in schools, colleges, community organisations, pupil referral units and youth offending institutions and inspire them to make informed choices about their futures.
You should be successful in your chosen career. We hope to attract role models who work in Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM) sectors and also those with entrepreneurial backgrounds as a key thread of the programme. We will look to you to encourage young people to be entrepreneurial in their approach to life. If you have an understanding of the challenges facing young BAME females and want to give something back, then please apply to become a R2S Role Model. Public speaking and/or supporting young people to develop new local ideas that they can execute are key aspects of the role
Travel and subsistence costs will be covered by BTEG.
All selected role models will be DBS checked.
